As previously reported, Gray was arrested by Des Moines cops on June 1 after running a red light in his Porsche 911 and crashing into another vehicle. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the 31-year-old musician unable to stand up and so incoherent that the only word they could understand him say was "sleepy," according to the report (a search of Gray's ride turned up two syringes, marijuana, and cocaine). Charged with misdemeanor drug and traffic charges, Gray was released on $4,300 bond.
UNIDA, the band featuring former KYUSS vocalist John Garcia, have yet to secure a release for their much-anticipated full-length CD, which was originally completed in May 2001 while the band were part of the American/Island Def Jam roster. The album, which reportedly cost $350,000 to record, was produced by acclaimed knob-twiddler George Drakoulias (BLACK CROWES, SCREAMING TREES).
